What on-page SEO covers
On-page SEO is the work you do on the pages themselves. It decides what each page is about, how it is presented to search engines and whether it genuinely satisfies the person who lands on it. Where technical SEO makes sure your site can be crawled and loaded, on-page SEO makes sure each page deserves to rank once it is found.
It is also the part of SEO you can see and measure on a page-by-page basis. That makes it one of the fastest areas to improve, and a central piece of our organic SEO services.
Start with search intent, not keywords
A keyword is only a label. What matters is what the person typing it wants. Someone searching "how to choose a payroll provider" wants a guide. Someone searching "payroll software for small business pricing" is comparing options and close to buying. Putting the same page in front of both serves neither.
Before changing any page, we look at what Google already shows for the target search: the kind of pages, how they are structured, which questions they answer and what is missing. Then we decide what your page needs to be, and we map each page to one clear main topic so your own pages do not compete with each other.
What we optimize on each page
- Title tags. Written to include the main topic naturally and to earn the click, within the length search engines display.
- Meta descriptions. They do not directly raise rankings, but a clear, honest description improves how many people choose your result.
- Headings. One clear H1, with H2 and H3 headings that organize the page and answer the questions readers actually have.
- Body content. Specific, useful copy that answers the query fully, with real examples, plain language and a clear next step. We cut filler and never stuff keywords.
- Internal links. Descriptive links between related pages, so visitors and search engines can follow your topics and your most important pages receive support.
- Images. Descriptive file names and alt text, sensible sizes and formats that load quickly.
- URLs. Short, readable addresses that describe the page, changed only when the benefit outweighs the risk and always with redirects.
- Schema markup. Structured data that matches what is visible on the page, such as services, FAQs, breadcrumbs and reviews where they apply.
- Conversion elements. Clear calls to action, trust signals and contact options, because ranking is only valuable if visitors take the next step.
How we work through your pages
1. We choose which pages matter most
We start with the pages closest to revenue: service pages, product and category pages, and any page already ranking just below the first page. Small improvements there often produce the quickest gains.
2. We write or revise with a clear brief
Each page gets a short brief covering its target topic, intent, headings and links. Our writers then create or improve the content, and we send it for your review so facts, tone and offers stay accurate.
3. We publish and set up tracking
We publish the changes or hand you ready-to-upload content, and track each page's impressions, clicks and rankings in Google Search Console so we can see what worked.
4. We refresh what is slipping
Search results change and competitors update their pages. We review older pages regularly and refresh the ones that are losing ground, which is usually cheaper than writing something new.
Common on-page mistakes we fix
- Several pages targeting the same search, so they compete with each other.
- Titles that are vague, duplicated across the site or cut off in results.
- Pages that repeat a keyword but never answer the question behind it.
- Important pages with no internal links pointing to them.
- Thin pages that say less than the pages already ranking.
Where on-page SEO fits
On-page work is most effective on a technically healthy site, so we often pair it with a technical SEO audit. If your customers are in a particular city or region, we add the signals covered by our local SEO service. For online stores, product and category pages have their own rules, which we cover under e-commerce SEO. And if you need fresh pages and articles to build out a topic, our content team writes them as part of ongoing organic SEO.
